Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:12/04/12 Location:Maintenance Shop Condition:An eyewash capable of providing 15 minutes of flush was not provided where employees were exposed to RE-NU Superbrite Aluminum Brightener, a corrosive, while washing vehicles. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct these hazards is to comply with the American National Standard for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment, ANSI Z358-1998.
