North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)Facility, work area - Periodic Qualified Inspections were not done for a four post hydraulic automotive lift. REFERENCE:ANSI/ALI ALOIM:2008, Table of Contents, Section 5-Periodic Qualified Inspection, 5.1 Qualified Inspection Procedure. NOTE:Among other feasible and acceptable methods of abatement of this hazard is to conduct periodic inspections of all automotive lifts to determine if they are in safe to use.
