Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or About 05/06/13 Location:Singers Way, Lot #123-A Condition:Metal plate connected wood trusses were not braced with adequate temporary bracing during installation to protect employees from being struck/crushed by collapsing roof trusses. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install temporary bracing on metal plate connected wood trusses in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, or Building Components Safety Information Bulletin BCSI 1-03 Guide To Good Practice for Handling, Installing, and Bracing of Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses. (b)Date of Violation:On or About 05/06/13 Location:Singers Way, Lot #123-B Condition:Metal plate connected wood trusses were not braced with adequate temporary bracing during installation to protect employees from being struck/crushed by collapsing roof trusses.
