and a place of employment free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that
employees were exposed to a struck by or crushed by hazard:
a)facility, loom beam area - where employees operated a 2 Ton CM Railstar
(SN 078MG)
underhung overhead hoist with steel chains without a safety latch on the
hook to lift and move
section beams weighing approximately 1,200 pounds.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement to
correct this hazard is to affix a
safety latch on the hook.
