Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:01/16/14 Location:East Side of Building Equipment:JLG Aerial Lift, Model #400S, Serial #0300076739 Condition:Employees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 15 feet while using an aerial lift that had locking pliers holding the gate in the closed position. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the ANSI/SIA A92.2 2006 Consensus Standard for Boom-Supported Elevating Work Platforms, and the Manufacturer's Instruction Manual. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
