Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not
furnish employment and a place of
employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or
likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to employees:
(a)Date of Violation:11/07/13
Location:North and South Sides of Building
Condition:Employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed/struck by
collapsing roof
trusses due to inadequate bracing techniques.
Among other methods, one reasonable and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is to install
bracing in accordance with the Wood Truss Council of America
recommendations, per BCSI-B2.
That prior to the date of issuance hereof, Blue River Construction, Inc.
Violated the standard, regulation, or
section of the MOSH Act cited herein, for which the following citations(s)
was/were issued and became final:
1. Item No. 6, Citation No. 1 of Case No. L4060-010-13, issued on
01/07/2013, resulting from an inspection
at Lot 17, Cpt. Adamouski Street, Easton, MD 21601, and became final on
10/17/2013.
Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs,
training certification, etc.)
is required for this item.
