Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:02/04/14 Location:East Side of Building Condition:Employees who were exposed to Lehigh Type I Portland Cement, a corrosive, while performing masonry duties were not provided suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes in the immediate working area for emergency use. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard is to install in the area an emergency eyewash station meeting the requirements of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z358.1-2009 "American National Standard for Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment."
