North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by/caught between hazards: a)tear down department, pre-operation inspections, frequent inspections and periodic inspections were not being conducted on the Columbus Mckinnon 1/2 Ton serial # L-0421MG wall hoist. b)shipping and receiving area, pre-operation inspections, frequent inspections and periodic inspections were not being conducted on the Columbus Mckinnon 1/2 Ton serial # L-0241MG wall hoist. Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard is to establish and conduct pre-operation inspections, frequent inspections and periodic inspections on both of the Columbus Mckinnon 1/2 Ton wall hoists.n
