29 CFR 5a(1): 24 V.I. R&R 36(b)1.5a(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that, were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: vehicles shifting or falling from hoist while being elevated. Among other methods two feasible and acceptable abatement methods correct this hazard are to have a qualified person service hoist or refrain from using said hoist as stipulated by ALISM89-1 Pg.10-1989, Before you Lift.
