29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) East side of structure at 2nd level, in proximity to access ladder; On or about 5/20/11 and at times prior thereto, employees framing and tilting up walls were in close proximity to the unguarded edge of the 2nd level deck. b) West side of structure at 2nd level; On or about 5/20/11 and at times prior thereto, employees framing and tilting up walls were in close proximity to the unguarded edge of the 2nd level deck. Note: Abatement certification and documentation are NOT required for this item.
