29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1):     The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace:    On or about May 25, 2011, and at times prior, an employee wearing a 1/2 face negative pressure respirator was not provided with a medical evaluation prior to utilzing the respirator for painting operations.      Note:  The employer may discontinue employee medical evaluations when the employee is no longer required to use a respirator.    Abatement Note:  Abatement certification is not required for this item.
