29 CFR 1926.95(d)(1):     Except as provided by paragraphs (d)(2) through (d)(6) of this section, the protective equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), used to comply with this part, was not provided by the employer at no cost to employee(s).    (a) SKC Construction Inc. - On or about 16 June 2011, the employer did not provide free of charge to each affected employee gloves that would protect against dermal exposure to hazardous chemicals contained in paint.  Three employees engaged in spray painting of eight (8) STOP signs using Davies Imperial Coatings Inc. Products # 4635 Fast Dry white Traffic Paint) and # 5403 Red Hi-Build Latex Traffic Paint (contain Methanol).    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1926.59 NOTE: The requirements applicable to construction work under this section are identical to those set forth at 29 CFR 1910.1200 of this chapter.    29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2)(iii):   The employer did not provide information to the employees as to the location and availability of the written hazard communication program, and material safety data sheets required by 29 CFR 1910.1200:    a) SKC Construction Inc. - On or about 16 June 2011 the employer did not inform each affected employee of the availability and location of the written Hazard Communication program.  Three employees engaged in spray painting of eight (8)"STOP" signs using Davies Imperial Coatings Inc.
