29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) ormore above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees were engaged in re-roofing a commercial structure while not using a adequate fall protection system. Potential fall height was measured to be in excess of 19' with a roof pitch of 8/12.
