29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1): Each platform on all working levels of scaffolds shall be fully planked or decked between the frontuprights and the guardrail supports as follows:\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nAt the worksite, employees were elevated approximately 130 feet from the ground and supported by a system scaffold that lacked full planking.

29 CFR 1926.451(b)(6): \\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nOn scaffolds where scaffold planks are abutted to create a long platform, each abutted end shallrest on a separate support surface. This provision does not preclude the use of common support members, such as \\\\\\\"T\\\\\\\" sections, to support abuttingplanks, or hook on platforms designed to rest on common supports.\\r\\n\\r\\nAt the worksite, the planks on a system scaffold approximately 150 feet in height overlapped one over the other which did not provide each abutting plank separate support.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(iii): When midrails, screens, mesh, intermediate vertical members, solid panels, or equivalent structural members are used, they shall be installed between the top edge of the guardrail system and the scaffold platform.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\n\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\nAt the worksite, a approximately 150 foot high system scaffold was not provided with midrails on the working level.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): \\\\\\\"Unprotected sides and edges.\\\\\\\" Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertica lsurface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrailsystems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nAt the worksite, the employer did not ensure that employees who were working atop a water tower approximately 162 feet in height were protected from falling by guardrails, safety net, or personal fall arrest system.\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nM.K. Painting, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312853005, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on March 29, 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 13622 Centerbrook, Universal City, TX. 78150
