29 CFR 1926.451(f)(4): Any part of a scaffold damaged or weakened such that its strength is less than that required byparagraph (a) of this section shall be immediately repaired or replaced, braced to meet those provisions, or removed from service untilrepaired. a. On the site, the employer did not ensure the outrigger scaffold bracket which was weakened had been removed from service. The bracket was part of a group of scaffold components recently purchased in an auction. The components had not been thoroughly inspected and tested to ensure they were not damaged or in disrepair. The bracket was being used on a site when the weld broke causing the employee to fall approximately 13 feet to ground.
