29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(iii): The safety monitor was not within visual sighting distance of employees being monitored. a) Odyssey Construction, Inc., Nisley Elementary School, 543 28 3/4 Road, Grand Junction, CO: The employer did not ensure that the safety monitor used to warn employees of potential fall hazards was capable of observing all employees engaged in roofing activities. On or about July 27, 2011, due to the irregulary shaped roof measuring less than 50 feet in width, the monitor was not capable of observing all employees. Condition exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (See enclosed Abatement-Certification Letter).
