29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used: As a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure:\r\na. In building 6, an extension cord was used as a subsititue for fixed wiring in that the cord was run over a doorway and over an office to supply power to a battery back-up pack for the wireless system. The Sutphen Towers, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.305(g)(1)(iv), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311835862, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on September 3, 2008, with respect to a workplace located a 4500 Sutphen Court, Hilliard, OH 43026.
