29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(5)(i): Non-self-supporting ladder(s) were not used at an angle such that the horizontal distance from the top support to the foot of the ladder was approximately one-quarter of the working length of the ladder: On August 09, 2011, during roofing activities, the employer allowed employees to work/stand on a ladder that was not properly set up for its use. The ladder was set up to a height of approximately 13.0 feet and the bottom was approximately 8 feet from vertical. The ladder was approximately 4.75 ft. over the requirements of the standard.
