29 CFR 1926.300(b)(1): Power operated tools when designed to accommodate guards, were not equipped with such guards when in use. a) Schalk Bros., Inc. on or about August 10, 2011, at the Cleveland Rd Bridge, Huron, OH: The employer did not ensure a Dewalt Angle Grinder (model #D28402) was equipped with the appropriate factory provided guard while in use. Employees were using the unguarded tool to grind structural concrete members during bridge construction activities. The employees were exposed to potential contact of the blade during grinding operations.
