29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.\r\n\r\na) North exterior side of the south tank; On or about 8/10/11 and at times prior thereto, two employees involved with the installation of stair treads and balusters onto the exterior of the fuel storage tank did not have a means of fall protection.\r\n\r\nb) North exterior side of the south tank; On or about 8/10/11 and at times prior thereto, an employee involved with the installation of stair treads onto the exterior of the fuel storage tank did not have a means of fall protection when ascending/descending the stairs.\r\n\r\nNote: Abatement certification is NOT required for this item.\r\n\r\n
