29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposed an employee to injury, was not guarded: a) An employee using a radial arm saw to cut plastic in the Secondary Building were exposed to amputation hazards. The lower potion of the saw blade was not guarded. b) An employee operating a Betenbender 120-ton press brake in the machine shop was exposed to amputation hazards. The point of operation was not guarded.

An employee operating a Betenbender two foot shear in the Saw Room was exposed to amputation hazards. The sheer was not guarded. BMS MANUFACTURING CO., INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 312891104, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2007 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 651 W. 8th AVE, MILAN, IL 61264.
