29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a)  The Mr. Fix It Handyman on or about August 22, 2011, at the address of 2312 Comanche Tr. Sandusky, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while installing new roofing material to a steep sloped roof on commercial structure. Employees were exposed to falls of up to 13 ft-8 in to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.    a) The Mr. Fix It Handyman on or about August 22, 2011, at the address of 2312 Comanche Tr. Sandusky, OH: The employer did not ensure that employees had been trained in the appropriate use of fall protection such as but not limited to the use of personal fall arrest systems or alternative measures while performing various roofing operations.
