29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) Steve Petrick Roofing on or about August 22, 2011 at the address of 101 Landrush St. Sandusky, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while installing new roofing material to a 4/12 pitched roof on residential type structure. Employees were exposed to a potential 7 ft fall to the ground below. Steve Petrick Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313786410, citation number 1, item number 2c and was affirmed as a final order on February 15, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 1630 Waters Edge Dr. Port Clinton, OH.

The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) Steve Petrick Roofing on or about August 22, 2011 at the address of 101 Landrush St. Sandusky, OH: The employer did not ensure that employees had been trained in the appropriate use of fall protection such as but not limited to the use of personal fall arrest systems or alternative measures while performing various roofing operations. Steve Petrick Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313786410, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on February 15, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 1630 Waters Edge Dr. Port Clinton, OH.
