Employees used syringes to inject insulin and other medication, and used lancets to test blood sugar levels of residents of the long term care center.  This activity was conducted in the resident rooms without a sharps container in the room.  The nearest sharps container was located on the nursing cart outside the residents room or at the nurses station.  The distance to a sharps container was approximately ten to fifty feet away.  This condition exposed employees to a bloodborne pathogens hazard.
