29 CFR 1926.405(a)(2)(ii)(I): Flexible cords and cables shall be protected from damage. Sharp corners and projections shallbe avoided. Flexible cords and cables may pass through doorways or other pinch points, if protection is provided to avoid damage. a. On the first floor of Area 2 South academic wing where employees performed carpentry work, the employer ran an extension cord through the door way and another employee ran the cord over with the American Crane lift sdding to the potential of damaging the cord thereby exposing employees to a contact hazard.
