29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2):     Employee were exposed to an airborne concentration of Particulates Not Otherwise Regulated (PNOR) - Total Dust listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average concentration of 15.0 mg/m3.    The employee engaged in powdercoating was sampled on 10/21/2011 and was exposed to Particulates Not Otherwise Regulated (PNOR) - Total Dust at a TWA level of 104.8 mg/m3, approximately 7 times the limit of 15.0 mg/m3, this limit established to prevent respiratory distress. The powdercoater was coating large parts during a full-day shift. The exposure level was derived from two samples collected over a 317 minute period. Any unsampled time was assumed at a 0 exposure.

General methods of control applicable in these circumstances include, but are not limited to, the following:  		a. Use increased dust collection in areas of low suction  		b. Use work practice controls to preven the employee from working between the part and dust collection inlet  		c. Implementing a worker rotation schedule to reduce employees time of exposure.  		d. Implement adjustments in work methods such as lowering the height of suspended parts so they are closer to the dust collection/filter inlet.
