29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. a) Roof: On or about September 7, 2011 and at times prior thereto, employees were installing trusses small trusses without fall protection. Employees were standing on an exterior top plate with a fall of 11.9 feet to the outside and 9.1 feet to the inside. b) Stairwell: On or about September 7, 2011 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to an unprotected edge on a stairwell with a fall hazard of 9.8 feet to a concrete slab. Note: Abatement certification is required for this item.
