29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: Employees operating sanding wheels were exposed to being caught-in and laceration hazards. Shafts protruded more than one half the diameter from sanding wheels center: a. The saw rooms south sanding wheels shaft protruded more than one half its diameter. b. The saw rooms north sanding wheels shaft protruded more than one half its diameter. c. The sanding wheel next to the homemade press had a shaft that protruded more than one half its diameter.
