29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502. Employees conducting sheeting activities on a residential roof were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 11 feet. No fall protection was utilized. THE JLR BUILDERS, LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 312885940, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 5(a), AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JUNE 2, 2009, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT BAER ROAD, LOT 64, BLOOMINGTON, IL 61704.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: Employees conducting sheeting activities on a residential roof were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 11 feet. The employees were not able to recognize fall hazards.
