29 CFR 1910.157(b)(1): Where the employer has established and implemented a written fire safety policy which requires the immediate and total evacuation of employees from the workplace upon the sounding of a fire alarm signal and which includes an emergency action plan and a fire prevention plan did not meet the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.38 and 29 CFR 1910.39 respectively, and when extinguishers are not available in the workplace, the employer is exempt from all requirements of this section unless a specific standard in part 1910 requires that a portable fire extinguisher be provided. a) Shops A and B: On or about August 22, 2011, and at times prior thereto, the Emergency Fire Evacuation Maps posted did not show the current changes in the evacuation routes and the assembly or rally points.

Where a Notice of an Unsafe or Unhealthful Working Condition has been issued, abatement shall be within the time set forth in the notice, or in accordance with theestablished abatement plan. a) West - Steam Cleaner Area: On August 22, 2011, and at times prior thereto, a high velocity water spray hose showed extreme wear with cracks which is used for cleaning at the steam cleaning lot including wear on the nozzle.
