This condition exposed employees to a projectile hazard.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety nets systems, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: (a) Vega's Roofing at 4393 Hayler Ave., Loveland, CO 80534: On 9/26/11, the employer did not ensure that fall protection systems were utilized by employees engaged in re-roofing activities while working at the unprotected edges of a roof on a single family residence. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 16 feet. Vega's Roofing was previously cited for a violation for substantially similar condition of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13)) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313413189, Citation number 1, Item number 1, issued on 9/11/09 and became Final Order on 11/9/09 with respect to a workplace located at 338 Granite Way, Johnstown, CO 80534.
