29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail systems, warning line system and safety net system, warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: (a) Five Sons Roofing Co. at 2700 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO: On and before October 7, 2011, the exposing employer did not ensure that fall protection systems were utilized for employees working on the southeast corner of the flat roof of the Skylar Apartments. Employees were unloading roofing material flown in by crane. One employee near the roof edge was signaling the crane operator and another employee was near the roof edge waiting for the load. A warning line system was not installed and utilized. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards of 25 feet to 35 feet.
