29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, personal fall arrest system, or other approved alternative fall protection system: (a) Rios Roofing at 3715 Downieville St, Loveland CO 80538: On and before October 1, 2011, the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that one employee installing shingles the on a 6-in-12 pitch roof on a two-story residential home was not utilizing a fall protection system. The employee was working near the edge on the second level. This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet. Rios Roofing was previously cited for a violation of the same or substantially similar condition of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 313413718, Citation Number 1, Item 1 issued on October 14, 2009, and became Final Order on December 1, 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 1429 Mallard Dr., Johnstown, CO 80534.
