29 CFR 1910.218(f)(1)(i): Mechanical forging presses. When dies are being changed or maintenance is being performed on the press, the following shall be accomplished: The power to the press shall be locked out. In the workplace, the employer did not require the Ajax Mechanical Forging Press 747 to be de-energized and locked out during cleaning and knockout pin repair/replacement where employees were working between the press bolsters of an energized press. Colfor Manufacturing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.218(f)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313153256, citation number 01, item number 01a and was affirmed as a final order on March 15, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 3255 Alliance Rd. NW, Malvern, OH. 44644.
