Construction, LLC (subcontractor) protected their employees from injury, in that, pump jack scaffolds in use at the site were not inspected by a competent person prior to use.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(i): Guardrail systems were not installed along all open sides and ends of platforms: a) On or about October 25, 2011, AJM Framers, Inc. as a controlling employer, did not ensure that S.G.M. Construction, LLC (subcontractor) protected their employees from fall hazards in excess of 10 feet while working from pump jack scaffolds that did not have guardrails installed around all open ends and sides of the platforms. AJM Framers, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard- 29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(i) which was contained in OSHA inspection 312134380 Citation 1, Item 1 issued on August 1, 2008 and became a final order on August 20, 2008 with respect to a worksite located at 6748 S. Versailles Way, Aurora, CO 80014.

29 CFR 1926.452(j)(2): Poles were not secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom, top, and other points as necessary: a) On or about October 25, 2011, AJM Framers, Inc. as a controlling employer, did not ensure that S.G.M. Construction, LLC (subcontractor) protected their employees from injury while working on Alum-A-Pole pump jack scaffolds that were not secured as follows: 1. Bracing was not installed at the bottoms of all scaffold poles. 2. Bracing was not installed at intermediate locations on the scaffold poles to secure them to the structure. AJM Framers, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard- 29 CFR 1926.452(j)(2) which was contained in OSHA inspection 312134380 Citation 1, Item 2 issued on August 1, 2008 and became a final order on August 20, 2008 with respect to a worksite located at 6748 S. Versailles Way, Aurora, CO 80014.
