29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Farm Brass screw forge machine #BF01, exposed nip points from operating with panel guards open. b) Farm Brass screw forge machine #BF01, vertical parts conveyor with exposed nip points approximately 55" off the floor. c) Farm Brass screw forge machine #BF01, unloading pan with air cylinder flapper nip point approximately 3" from guard to nip point. d) DoALL band saw with missing bottom guard exposing unused portion of saw blade below table. e) B12 Buhler die cast machine with unguarded hydraulic ram (17" stroke) on back side of machine. f) B1 Lester die cast machine with unguarded hydraulic ram similar to B12 on back side of machine. g) Core machine CB04, unguarded opening on south end approximately 16" wide x 34"high with approximately 20" to unguarded cylinder. h) Low pressure die cast machine, missing guard gate (Approx. 18" x 21") on damaged expanded metal guard. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
