29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operators and other employees from hazards created by ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Rocky Mountain Colby Pipe Company at 5125-B Race Court, Denver, CO 80216: On and before December 2, 2010, the employer did not ensure the 18-inch JET Woodworking Bandsaw, model number JWBS-18, was guarded. Approximately 4 inches of the unused portion of the vertical bandsaw blade was not guarded. This saw is used to cut ABS and PVC piping. This condition exposed employees to hazards of contacting the blade.
