29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10):     Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and fuardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.    On November 16, 2011 five employees were not protected from a fall as they were engaged in roofing activities on a flat roof, exposing them to a fall hazard of 16.2 feet.    Omega Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety standard or its equivalent standard  CFR 29 1926.501(b)(10) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312727662, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as final order on 08/18/09, with respect to the workplace located at the Northeast corner of Curtis & Belmont in Downers Grove, IL.     In accordance with CFR 29 1903.19(d) abatement documentation is required of this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
