29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: Workers were observed engaged in residential type of construction activities re-roofing a multi-unit, three story condominium. Workers who were exposed to potential fall hazards were not properly trained in fall protecion criteria.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph (b) Workers were observed engaged in residential type of construction activities re-roofing a steep sloped, multi-unit, three story condiminium. Workers were exposed to potential fall hazards from heights that were measured to be (front) 23.0 feet and (rear) greater than 25.0 feet in the rear in that a fall protection system was not properly utilized. The Contract Direct Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 1926.(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313172496, citation number 1, item number, 1 issued on May 14, 2009 and; was cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312564180, citation number 1, item number 2, issued on October 29, 2008.
