29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):  Machine guarding was not provided to protect operators and other employees from hazards created by ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    (a)  BVM Corporation at 430 S. Navajo St., Denver, CO 80223:  On and before December 6, 2011 guarding was not provided to protect employees from hazards created by the rotating chuck on the vertical turret lathes. This condition exposed employees to hazards by contacting the chuck, in addition to the ingoing nip point located between the chuck and the structure of the machine.    (b)  BVM Corporation at 430 S. Navajo St., Denver, CO 80223:  On and before December 6, 2011 guarding was not provided to protect employees from hazards created by the by the rotating chuck on horizontal lathes throughout the facility. This condition exposed employees to hazards by contacting the chuck.    (c)  BVM Corporation at 430 S. Navajo St., Denver, CO 80223:  On and before December 6, 2011 guarding was not provided to protect employees from hazards created by the by the rotating parts of Bridgeport mills and drill presses throughout the facility. This condition exposed employees to hazards by contacting the rotating parts of the machinery.
