29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or a personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph (b): Note: The employer was following the old directive for residential construction by having slide guards placed at 8 foot intervals for a roof pitch of 7/12. On 12/30/2011, during residential contruction activities, the employer did not ensure that employees used fall protection devices or systems while performing a roof tear-off. Employees performed the tear-off work on a roof with a 20 foot eave and a 7/12 pitch.
