29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of carbon monoxide listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average concentration of 50 parts per million: a. stock room - On or about 1/3/12, an employee working in area near a construction site was exposed to carbon monoxide from a gasoline powered saw at an 8-hour time weighted average of 140 parts per million, approximately 2.8 times the permissible exposure limit. Carbon monoxide interferes with the absorption of oxygen by the blood and can produce symptoms from headaches to death in severe cases.
