29 CFR 1926.55(a): Employee(s) were exposed to material(s) at concentrations above those specified in the Threshold Limit Values of Airborne Contaminants for 1970 of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists: (a) On or about 1/3/12, employees were operating a gasoline powered concrete saw during renovation of the Target Store in Keene, NH. That operation resulted in at least one Target worker being over exposed to carbon monoxide at an 8-hour time weighted average of 140 parts per million, approximately 2.8 times the permissible exposure limit of 50 parts per million. CO interferes with body's capacity to absorb oxygen resulting in tissue hypoxia.
