29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) E & S Construction on or about January 05, 2012, at the address of 1114 Trenton Ave. Findlay, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while installing new roofing material to a steep sloped roof on a commercial structure. Employees were exposed to falls of 10.5 ft to the ground below.

The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) E & S Construction on or about January 05, 2012, at the address of 1114 Trenton Ave. Findlay, OH: The employer did not ensure that employees had been trained in the appropriate use of fall protection such as but not limited to the use of personal fall arrest systems or alternative measures while performing various roofing operations.
