29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A):     Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure:    On or about 18 January 2012, the employer did not ensure that electrical cooking appliances were plugged into fixed wiring instead of flexible cords or cables.    a) An electrical cooking pot was plugged into the relocatable power strip.  In its turn, the power strip was plugged into another very long flexible extension cord which led all the way from the employees assigned work area into the rafters where it connected to a hard-wired power outlet.        b) A microwave was plugged into a relocatable power strip which was plugged into hard-wired outlet.    c) An electrical cooking pot was plugged into a relocatable power strip which was plugged into hard-wired outlet.    d) An electric coffee pot was plugged into a relocatable power strip which was plugged into hard-wired outlet.
