29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): All sprocket wheels and chains shall be enclosed unless they are more than seven (7) feet above the floor or platform: a. Plating Building/Drying Oven - On or about January 10, 2012, the sprocket wheels and chain moving mechanism for the conveyor belt on the polyseal oven machine was not completely guarded/enclosed. Employees were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with rotaing equipment. THE EMPLOYER, RIVERDALE PLATING & HEAT TREADING, INC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.219(F)(3) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION # 313937070, CITATION NUMBER (1), ITEM (9), AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2011, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 680 w. 134TH St. RIVERDALE, IL 60827.
