29 CFR 1910.132(c): Personal protective equipment was not of safe design and construction for the work to be performed: (a) Location: US Army Garrison-Yuma, Department of Emergency Services: Threat Level Type II and IIIA ballistic resistant body armor issued to civilian police and security guards as personal protective equipment were not approved and certified by the National Institute of Justice NIJ Standard 0101.06, for nine (9) employees who were only issued ForceOne Rapid Entry Vests Level IIIA external vests which expired in 2007, and for eight (8) employees who were issued concealable body armor ArmoreExpress Emperor II Level II vests and were not of safe design for specific fit sizing purposes, exposing these employees to potential death or impact wounds.
