29 CFR 1926.501(b)(3): Each employee in a hoist area was not protected from falling 6 feet or more to lower levels by guardrail systems or personal fall arrest systems: a) An employee was exposed to a fall of approximately 21 feet while signaling a crane while standing on a parapet wall. The crane was hoisting HVAC equipment on to the roof and the employee was not protected by a guardrail system or personal fall arrest system. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
