29 CFR 1926.300(b)(2):   Moving part(s) of equipment exposed to contact by employees or which otherwise created a hazard, were not guarded:     a) On or about 01/18/12 at 56/58 Larch Street, Carteret, NJ 07008 CSHO observed employees using a Dewalt, D55672 gas powered air compressor to operate their pneumatic nail guns when the cover was missing over the recoil of the compressor.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):     Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor  did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502.    a) On or about 01/18/12 at 56/58 Larch Street, Carteret, NJ 07008 CSHO observed employees working on and from the edge of a newly constructed first floor deck with no fall protection system in place.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):     Portable ladder was used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet  above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:    a) On or about 01/18/12 at 56/58 Larch Street, Carteret, NJ 07008 CSHO observed employees using an unidentifiable aluminum portable ladder to access a newly constructed first floor landing when the ladder did not extend three feet above the landing.
