29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Examination. Electric equipment shall be free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Safety of equipment shall be determined using the following considerations: The employer is failing to protect employees from potential electrical hazards associated with operating equipment where stray electrical energy is detected throughout the structure of the equipment. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 2321 Industrial Ave, Sidney, NE 69162, where the employer has employees using a roller conveyor system to move piping and at the station located on the west end of the facility has detectable electrical energy running along the frame of the conveyor station thus exposing employees to potential electrical shock hazards.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at leastannually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. The employer is failing to conduct annual periodic review of energy control procedures. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 2321 Industrial Ave, Sidney, NE 69162, where the employer has employees performing maintenance on equipment using written specific procedures that have not had the periodic reviews conducted since 2010. Instances include but are not limited to: i. Employees performing monthly maintenance on the Blow Down Dust Collector. ii. Employees performing monthly maintenance on the Sullair LS 200S Air Compressor.
